Everlasting Salvation for Zion
"Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness 1 and who seek the Lord: 1 Look to the rock from which you were cut 1 and to the quarry from which you were hewn;
look to Abraham, your father, 2 and to Sarah, who gave you birth. 2 When I called him he was but one, 2 and I blessed him and made him many.
The Lord will surely comfort Zion 3 and will look with compassion on all her ruins; 3 he will make her deserts like Eden, 3 her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. 3 Joy and gladness will be found in her, 3 thanksgiving and the sound of singing.
"Listen to me, my people; 4 hear me, my nation: 4 The law will go out from me; 4 my justice will become a light to the nations.
My righteousness draws near speedily, 5 my salvation is on the way, 5 and my arm will bring justice to the nations. 5 The islands will look to me 5 and wait in hope for my arm.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, 6 look at the earth beneath; 6 the heavens will vanish like smoke, 6 the earth will wear out like a garment 6 and its inhabitants die like flies. 6 But my salvation will last forever, 6 my righteousness will never fail.
"Hear me, you who know what is right, 7 you people who have my law in your hearts: 7 Do not fear the reproach of men 7 or be terrified by their insults.
For the moth will eat them up like a garment; 8 the worm will devour them like wool. 8 But my righteousness will last forever, 8 my salvation through all generations."
