31 "The time is coming," declares the Lord, 31 "when I will make a new covenant 31 with the house of Israel 31 and with the house of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant 32 I made with their forefathers 32 when I took them by the hand 32 to lead them out of Egypt, 32 because they broke my covenant, 32 though I was a husband to[a] them,[b] " 32 declares the Lord.
33 "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel 33 after that time," declares the Lord. 33 "I will put my law in their minds 33 and write it on their hearts. 33 I will be their God, 33 and they will be my people.
34 No longer will a man teach his neighbor, 34 or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' 34 because they will all know me, 34 from the least of them to the greatest," 34 declares the Lord. 34 "For I will forgive their wickedness 34 and will remember their sins no more."
35 This is what the Lord says, 35 he who appoints the sun 35 to shine by day, 35 who decrees the moon and stars 35 to shine by night, 35 who stirs up the sea 35 so that its waves roar— 35 the Lord Almighty is his name:
