Jeremiah 4
1 "If you will return, O Israel, 1 return to me," 1 declares the Lord. 1 "If you put your detestable idols out of my sight 1 and no longer go astray,
2 and if in a truthful, just and righteous way 2 you swear, 'As surely as the Lord lives,' 2 then the nations will be blessed by him 2 and in him they will glory."
3 This is what the Lord says to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem: 3 "Break up your unplowed ground 3 and do not sow among thorns.
4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, 4 circumcise your hearts, 4 you men of Judah and people of Jerusalem, 4 or my wrath will break out and burn like fire 4 because of the evil you have done— 4 burn with no one to quench it.
