1 1 For the director of music. For flutes. A psalm of David.
Give ear to my words, O Lord, 1 consider my sighing.
Listen to my cry for help, 2 my King and my God, 2 for to you I pray.
In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; 3 in the morning I lay my requests before you 3 and wait in expectation.
You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; 4 with you the wicked cannot dwell.
The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; 5 you hate all who do wrong.
You destroy those who tell lies; 6 bloodthirsty and deceitful men 6 the Lord abhors.
But I, by your great mercy, 7 will come into your house; 7 in reverence will I bow down 7 toward your holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness 8 because of my enemies— 8 make straight your way before me.
