Psalms 88

1 1 A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah. For the director of music. According to mahalath leannoth.[a]maskil[b] of Heman the Ezrahite.

Lord, the God who saves me, 1 day and night I cry out before you.

May my prayer come before you; 2 turn your ear to my cry.

For my soul is full of trouble 3 and my life draws near the grave.[c]

I am counted among those who go down to the pit; 4 I am like a man without strength.
