Song of Songs 2
I am a rose[b] of Sharon, 1 a lily of the valleys.
Like a lily among thorns 2 is my darling among the maidens.
Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest 3 is my lover among the young men. 3 I delight to sit in his shade, 3 and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
He has taken me to the banquet hall, 4 and his banner over me is love.
Strengthen me with raisins, 5 refresh me with apples, 5 for I am faint with love.
His left arm is under my head, 6 and his right arm embraces me.
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you 7 by the gazelles and by the does of the field: 7 Do not arouse or awaken love 7 until it so desires.
