Translation:

Corinthians 4

Apostles of Christ

Let a man so account of us, as of Mat. 24:45;Col. 1:25the ministers of Christ, Luke 12:42;Tit. 1:7and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's [a]judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

Mat. 7:1;Rom. 2:1;Rev. 20:12Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and Rom. 2:29;2 Cor. 5:10then shall every man have praise of God.

And these things, brethren, ch. 1:12I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; Rom. 12:3that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you ch. 3:21be puffed up for one against another.

For who [b]maketh thee to differ from another? and John 3:27what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

Now ye are full, Rev. 3:17now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

For I think that God hath set forth [c]us the apostles last, Ps. 44:22as it were appointed to death: for Heb. 10:33we are made a [d]spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

ch. 2:3We are Acts 17:18fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; 2 Cor. 13:9we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

Phil. 4:12Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and Rom. 8:35are naked, and Acts 23:2are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;

Acts 18:3;& 20:34;1 Thes. 2:9;2 Thes. 3:8;1 Tim. 4:10And labour, working with our own hands: Mat. 5:44;Luke 6:28;& 23:34;Acts 7:60;Rom. 12:14being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

Being defamed, we intreat: Lam. 3:45we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

I write not these things to shame you, but 1 Thes. 2:11as my beloved sons I warn you.

For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for Acts 18:11;Gal. 4:19;Jas. 1:18in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Wherefore I beseech you, ch. 11:1;1 Thes. 1:6be ye followers of me.

For this cause have I sent unto you Acts 19:22;Phil. 2:19Timotheus, 1 Tim. 1:2;2 Tim. 1:2who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you ch. 11:2into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I ch. 7:17teach every where ch. 14:33in every church.

ch. 5:2Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.

Acts 19:21;2 Cor. 1:15But I will come to you shortly, Acts 18:21;Heb. 6:3;Jas. 4:15if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.

For 1 Thes. 1:5the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

What will ye? 2 Cor. 10:2shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
