1 Sin separates Israel from God
1 Thus saith the Lord, 1 Where is Deut. 24:1;Jer. 3:8;Hos. 2:2the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? 1 Or which of my 2 Ki. 4:1;Mat. 18:25creditors is it to whom I have sold you? 1 Behold, for your iniquities ch. 52:3have you sold yourselves, 1 And for your transgressions is your mother put away.
2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? 2 Prov. 1:24;ch. 65:12;Jer. 35:15When I called, was there none to answer? 2 Num. 11:23Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? 2 Or have I no power to deliver? 2 Behold, Ps. 106:9;Nah. 1:4at my rebuke I Ex. 14:21dry up the sea, 2 I make the Josh. 3:16rivers a wilderness: 2 Ex. 7:18Their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

4 Obedient response of the servant
4 Ex. 4:11The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, 4 That I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is Mat. 11:28weary: 4 He wakeneth morning by morning, 4 He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 The Lord God Ps. 40:6-8hath opened mine ear, 5 And I was not Mat. 26:39;John 14:31;Heb. 10:5rebellious, 5 Neither turned away back.
6 Mat. 26:67I gave my back to the smiters, 6 And Lam. 3:30my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: 6 I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 For the Lord God will help me; 7 Therefore shall I not be confounded: 7 Therefore have Ezek. 3:8,9I set my face like a flint, 7 And I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 Rom. 8:32He is near that justifieth me; 8 Who will contend with me? let us stand together: 8 Who is [a]mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Behold, the Lord God will help me; 9 Who is he that shall condemn me? 9 Job 13:28;Ps. 102:26;ch. 51:6Lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; ch. 51:8the moth shall eat them up.
10 Who is among you that feareth the Lord, 10 That obeyeth the voice of his servant, 10 That Ps. 23:4walketh in darkness, and hath no light? 10 2 Chr. 20:20;Ps. 20:7Let him trust in the name of the Lord, 10 And stay upon his God.
11 Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: 11 Walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. 11 John 9:39This shall ye have of mine hand; 11 Ye shall lie down Ps. 16:4in sorrow.
12 The Lord will deliver his people
