God will restore Jerusalem
Awake, ch. 51:9,17awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; 1 Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, Neh. 11:1;Mat. 4:5;Rev. 21:2the holy city: 1 For Nah. 1:15henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised Rev. 21:27and the unclean.
ch. 3:26Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: 2 Zech. 2:7Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
For thus saith the Lord, 3 Ps. 44:12Ye have sold yourselves for nought; 3 And ye shall be redeemed without money.
For thus saith the Lord God, 4 My people went down aforetime into Gen. 46:6Egypt to sojourn there; 4 And the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
Now therefore, what have I here, saith the Lord, 5 That my people is taken away for nought? 5 They that rule over them make them to howl, saith the Lord; 5 And my name continually every day is Ezek. 36:20blasphemed.
Therefore my people shall know my name: 6 Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
Rom. 10:15How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; 7 That bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; 7 That saith unto Zion, Ps. 93:1Thy God reigneth!
Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; 8 With the voice together shall they sing: 8 For they shall see eye to eye, 8 When the Lord shall bring again Zion.
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: 9 For the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
Ps. 98:2,3The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; 10 And Luke 3:6all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
ch. 48:20Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; 11 Go ye out of the midst of her; Lev. 22:2be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.
For Ex. 12:33ye shall not go out with haste, 12 Nor go by flight: 12 Mic. 2:13For the Lord will go before you; 12 Ex. 14:19And the God of Israel will [a]be your rereward.
The servant of the Lord
Behold, ch. 42:1my servant shall Jer. 23:5[b]deal prudently, 13 Phil. 2:9He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
As many were astonied at thee; 14 His Ps. 22:6,7visage was so marred more than any man, 14 And his form more than the sons of men:
Ezek. 36:25So shall he sprinkle many nations; 15 The kings shall shut their mouths at him: 15 For that Eph. 3:5,9which had not been told them shall they see; 15 And that which they had not heard shall they consider.
