Psalms 108

A song of confidence in God

A Song or Psalm of David.

Ps. 57:7O God, my heart is fixed; 1 I will sing and give praise, 1 Even with my glory.

Ps. 57:8-11Awake, psaltery and harp: 2 I myself will awake early.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: 3 And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

For thy mercy is great above the heavens: 4 And thy truth reacheth unto the [a]clouds.

Ps. 57:5,11Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: 5 And thy glory above all the earth.

Ps. 60:5That thy beloved may be delivered; 6 Save with thy right hand, and answer me.

God hath spoken in his holiness; 7 I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, 7 And mete out the valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; 8 Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; 8 Gen. 49:10Judah is my lawgiver;

Moab is my washpot; 9 Over Edom will I cast out my shoe; 9 Over Philistia will I triumph.

Ps. 60:9Who will bring me into the strong city? 10 Who will lead me into Edom?

Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? 11 And wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

Give us help from trouble: 12 For vain is the help of man.

Ps. 60:12Through God we shall do valiantly: 13 For he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

A cry to God for help
