¹ The fate of the fool

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

¹ The Ps. 10:4fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. ¹ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, ¹ There is none that doeth good.

² Ps. 33:13The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, ² To see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

³ They are all gone aside, they are all together become ^[a]filthy: ³ There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

⁴ Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? ⁴ Who eat up my people as they eat bread, ⁴ And Is. 64:7call not upon the Lord.

⁵ There ^[b]were they in great fear: ⁵ For God is in the generation of the righteous.

⁶ You have shamed the counsel of the poor, ⁶ Because the Lord is his Ps. 9:9refuge.

⁷ Ps. 53:6^[c]O that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! ⁷ Job 42:10When the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, ⁷ Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
