Psalms 30

The Lord my helper

A Psalm and Song Deut. 20:5at the dedication of the house of David.

I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast Ps. 28:9lifted me up, 1 And hast not made my foes to Ps. 25:2rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

O Lord, Ps. 86:13thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: 3 Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, 4 And give thanks [a]at the remembrance of his holiness.

For Ps. 103:9[b]his anger endureth but a moment; Ps. 63:3in his favour is life: 5 Weeping may endure [c]for a night, but [d]joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said, 6 I shall never be moved.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast [e]made my mountain to stand strong: 7 Ps. 104:29Thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to thee, O Lord; 8 And unto the Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? 9 Ps. 6:5Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: 10 Lord, be thou my helper.

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: 11 Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

To the end that Ps. 57:8[f]my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. 12 O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

My times are in thy hand
