1 God governs the nations

1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song.

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; 1 And Num. 6:25;Ps. 4:6cause his face to shine [a]upon us; Selah.

2 That Acts 18:25thy way may be known upon earth, 2 Is. 52:10;Tit. 2:11Thy saving health among all nations.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; 3 Let all the people praise thee.

4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: 4 For Ps. 96:10thou shalt judge the people righteously, 4 And [b]govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; 5 Let all the people praise thee.

6 Lev. 26:4;Ps. 85:12;Ezek. 34:27Then shall the earth yield her increase; 6 And God, even our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us; 7 And all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
