Praise for the Lord's goodness
A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.
It is a Ps. 147:1good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, 1 And to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
To Ps. 89:1shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, 2 And thy faithfulness [a]every night,
1 Chr. 23:5;Ps. 33:2Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; 3 [b]Upon the harp with [c]a solemn sound.
For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: 4 I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
Ps. 40:5O Lord, how great are thy works! 5 And Is. 28:29;Rom. 11:33thy thoughts are very deep.
Ps. 73:22A brutish man knoweth not; 6 Neither doth a fool understand this.
When Job 12:6;& 21:7;Ps. 37:1,2;Jer. 12:1,2;Mal. 3:15the wicked spring as the grass, 7 And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; 7 It is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
Ps. 83:18But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.
For lo, thine enemies, O Lord, 9 For lo, thine enemies shall perish; 9 All the workers of iniquity shall Ps. 68:1be scattered.
But Ps. 89:17my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: 10 I shall be Ps. 23:5anointed with fresh oil.
Ps. 54:7;& 59:10Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, 11 And mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
Ps. 52:8;Is. 65:22;Hos. 14:5,6The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: 12 He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the Lord 13 Shall flourish Ps. 100:4in the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; 14 They shall be fat and [d]flourishing;
To shew that the Lord is upright: 15 Deut. 32:4He is my rock, and Rom. 9:14there is no unrighteousness in him.
The majesty of the Lord
