We Gal. 6:1then that are strong ought to bear the ch. 14:1infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
1 Cor. 10:33Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good ch. 14:19to edification.
Mat. 26:39For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The Ps. 69:9reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
For 1 Cor. 10:11whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
1 Cor. 1:10Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one towards another [a]according to Christ Jesus:
That ye may Acts 4:24with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wherefore ch. 14:1,3receive ye one another, ch. 5:2as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
Now I say that Mat. 15:24;John 1:11;Acts 3:25Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, 2 Cor. 1:20to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
And John 10:16that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Ps. 18:49For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
And again he saith, Deut. 32:43Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
And again, Ps. 117:1Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
And again Esaias saith, Is. 11:1;Rev. 5:5There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
Now the God of hope fill you with all ch. 12:12joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Paul's reason for writing
And 2 Pet. 1:12;1 John 2:21I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, 1 Cor. 8:1filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, ch. 1:5;& 12:3;Gal. 1:15;Eph. 3:7,8because of the grace that is given to me of God,
That ch. 11:13;Gal. 2:7-9;1 Tim. 2:7;2 Tim. 1:11I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the Is. 66:20;Phil. 2:17[b]offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ Heb. 5:1in those things which pertain to God.
For I will not dare to speak of any of those things Acts 21:19;Gal. 2:8which Christ hath not wrought by me, ch. 1:5;& 16:26to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
Acts 19:11;2 Cor. 12:12Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, 2 Cor. 10:13,15,16lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
But as it is written, Is. 52:15To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
Paul's future plans
For which cause also ch. 1:13;1 Thes. 2:17I have been [c]much hindered from coming to you.
But now having no more place in these parts, and Acts 19:21;ch. 1:11having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, Acts 15:3and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled ver. 32[d]with your company.
But now Acts 19:21;& 24:17I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
For 1 Cor. 16:1;2 Cor. 8:1it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For ch. 11:17if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, 1 Cor. 9:11;Gal. 6:6their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them Phil. 4:17this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
ch. 1:11And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and Phil. 2:1for the love of the Spirit, 2 Cor. 1:11;Col. 4:12that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
2 Thes. 3:2That I may be delivered from them that [e]do not believe in Judea; and that 2 Cor. 8:4my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
ch. 1:10That I may come unto you with joy Acts 18:21;1 Cor. 4:19;Jas. 4:15by the will of God, and may with you 1 Cor. 16:18;2 Cor. 7:13;2 Tim. 1:16;Philem. 7,20be refreshed.
Now ch. 16:20;1 Cor. 14:33;2 Cor. 13:11;Phil. 4:9;1 Thes. 5:23;2 Thes. 3:16;Heb. 13:20the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Commendations and greetings
