1 The measuring line of Jerusalem
1 I lift up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold, Ezek. 40:3a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2 Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, Rev. 11:1To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
3 And behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, 4 Jer. 31:27;Ezek. 36:10Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls 4 For the multitude of men and cattle therein:
5 For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her Is. 26:1a wall of fire round about, 5 Is. 60:19And will be the glory in the midst of her.
6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee Is. 48:20from the land of the north, saith the Lord: 6 For I have Deut. 28:64;Ezek. 17:21spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord.
7 Rev. 18:4Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
8 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; 8 After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: 8 For he that Deut. 32:10toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
9 For behold, I will Is. 19:16shake mine hand upon them, 9 And they shall be a spoil to their servants: 9 And ch. 4:9ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.
10 Is. 12:6Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: 10 For lo, I come, and I Lev. 26:12will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.
11 Is. 2:2,3And many nations shall be joined to the Lord ch. 3:10in that day, 11 And shall be Ex. 12:49my people: 11 And I will dwell in the midst of thee, 11 And Ezek. 33:33thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
12 And the Lord shall Deut. 32:9inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, 12 And ch. 1:17shall choose Jerusalem again.
