4The sons of Noah were Shem, Ham and Japheth.

The Sons of Japheth 5The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.

6The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah.

7The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites and the Rodanites.

The Sons of Ham 8The sons of Ham were Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan.

9The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah and Sabteka. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

10Cush was the father of Nimrod. Nimrod became a mighty hero on the earth.

11Egypt was the father of the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites and Naphtuhites.

12He was also the father of the Pathrusites, Kasluhites and Caphtorites. The Philistines came from the family line of the Kasluhites.

13Canaan was the father of Sidon. Sidon was his oldest son. Canaan was also the father of the Hittites, 14Jebusites, Amorites and Girgashites. 15And he was the father of the Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,

16Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.

The Sons of Shem 17The sons of Shem were Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram. The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.

18Arphaxad was the father of Shelah. Shelah was the father of Eber.

19Eber was the father of two sons. One was named Peleg. That’s because the earth was divided up in his time. His brother was named Joktan.

20Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth and Jerah. 21He was also the father of Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

23Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All of them were sons of Joktan.

24Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

27Abram. Abram was also called Abraham.

The Family of Abraham 28The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.

The Family Line of Hagar 29Here are the members of the family line of Hagar. Nebaioth was Ishmael’s oldest son. Then came Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 30Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,

31Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah. All of them were Ishmael’s sons.

The Family Line of Keturah 32Here are the sons born to Abraham’s concubine Keturah. They were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan were Sheba and Dedan.

33The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida and Eldaah. All of them were from the family line of Keturah.

The Family Line of Sarah 34Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac were Esau and Israel.

The Sons of Esau 35The sons of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam and Korah.

36The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz. Timna had Amalek by Eliphaz.

37The sons of Reuel were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.

The People of Seir in Edom 38The sons of Seir were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer and Dishan.

39The sons of Lotan were Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.

40The sons of Shobal were Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam. The sons of Zibeon were Aiah and Anah.

41The son of Anah was Dishon. The sons of Dishon were Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Keran.

42The sons of Ezer were Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan. The sons of Dishan were Uz and Aran.

The Rulers of Edom 43Before Israel had a king, there were kings who ruled in Edom. Bela was the son of Beor. Bela’s city was called Dinhabah.

44When Bela died, Jobab became the next king. Jobab was the son of Zerah from Bozrah.

45When Jobab died, Husham became the next king. Husham was from the land of the people of Teman.

46When Husham died, Hadad became the next king. Hadad was the son of Bedad. Hadad had won the battle over Midian in the country of Moab. Hadad’s city was called Avith.

47When Hadad died, Samlah became the next king. Samlah was from Masrekah.

48When Samlah died, Shaul became the next king. Shaul was from the town of Rehoboth. It was by a river.

49When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan became the next king. Baal-Hanan was the son of Akbor. 50When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad became the next king. Hadad’s city was called Pau. His wife’s name was Mehetabel. She was the daughter of Matred. Matred was the daughter of Me-Zahab.

51Hadad also died. The chiefs of Edom were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, 52Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, 53Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 54Magdiel and Iram. They were the chiefs of Edom.
