1 God Will Save His People and Punish Their Enemies
1 Who is this man coming from the city of Bozrah in Edom? 1 His clothes are stained bright red. 1 Who is he? He is dressed up in all of his glory. 1 He is marching toward us with great strength. 1 The Lord answers, "It is I. 1 I have won the battle. 1 I am mighty. 1 I have saved my people."
3 The Lord answers, "I have been stomping on the nations 3 as if they were grapes. 3 No one was there to help me. 3 I walked all over the nations because I was angry. 3 That is why I stomped on them. 3 Their blood splashed all over my clothes. 3 So my clothes were stained bright red.
7 Isaiah Prays to the Lord
7 I will talk about the kind things the Lord has done. 7 I'll praise him for everything he's done for us. 7 He has done many good things 7 for the nation of Israel. 7 That's because he loves us and is very kind to us.
9 When they suffered, he suffered with them. 9 He sent his angel to save them. 9 He set them free because he is loving and kind. 9 He lifted them up and carried them. 9 He did it again and again in days long ago.
11 Then his people remembered what he did long ago. 11 They recalled the days of Moses and his people. 11 They asked, "Where is the One who brought 11 Israel through the Red Sea? 11 Moses led them as the shepherd of his flock. 11 Where is the One who put 11 his Holy Spirit among them?
12 He used his glorious and powerful arm 12 to help Moses. 12 He parted the waters of the sea in front of them. 12 That mighty act made him famous forever. 13 He led them through that deep sea. 13 Like a horse in open country, 13 they didn't trip and fall.
