¹ 1 ¹ A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.

¹ Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. ¹ They will always be secure. They will last forever.

² Like the mountains around Jerusalem, ² the Lord is all around his people ² both now and forever.

³ Evil people will not always rule ³ the land the Lord gave to those who do right. ³ If they did, those who do right ³ might do what is evil.

⁴ Lord, do good to those who are good. ⁴ Do good to those whose hearts are honest.

⁵ But what about those who have taken paths that are crooked? ⁵ The Lord will drive them out, along with those who do what is evil. ⁵ May Israel enjoy peace.
