2 Corinthians 12 - NIV
But he said to me,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Paul’s Concern for the Corinthians
Summary: Paul’s life example ought to give us incredible encouragement to God’s power. We must submit under the GRACE of Christ before we can ever really live and must see ourselves for who we are before we can experience freedom.
I demand this thorn removed.
Summary: THIS THORN HAS A PURPOSE. The real revelation of suffering. God has a plan and a purpose. Suffering can reveal the heart OF MAN, not just the heart of God. Suffering can be a door to Presence of God. Suffering can be fertilizer for love.
