Keep me safe, O God, 1 for in you I take refuge.
I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord; 2 apart from you I have no good thing."
As for the saints who are in the land, 3 they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.[b]
The sorrows of those will increase 4 who run after other gods. 4 I will not pour out their libations of blood 4 or take up their names on my lips.
Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; 5 you have made my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; 6 surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; 7 even at night my heart instructs me.
I have set the Lord always before me. 8 Because he is at my right hand, 8 I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; 9 my body also will rest secure,
because you will not abandon me to the grave,[c] 10 nor will you let your Holy One[d] see decay.
You have made[e] known to me the path of life; 11 you will fill me with joy in your presence, 11 with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
