Summary: The arrival of the Holy Spirit during Pentecost was a turning point in the plan of God's great salvation of humanity. That event was not something that was done in secret but was announced with signs and wonders and with the salvation of 3000 souls!
Summary: At Pentecost, God enabled Jesus' disciples to do what they could not do on their own. God fulfilled Jesus' promise to spread the gospel to all lands, as the pilgrims heard the good news in thier own language. God calls us, too, to be his witnesses.
Summary: Pentecost Sunday - Contrasting the Fires of Hell and the Fire of the Holy Spirit. The Fires of Hell point to a Failure, An agony of Remembrance and are Eternal. The Fire of the Holy Spirit brings a Fullness, Renewal and are Everlasting!
Summary: There is an idea in our culture that recognizing our inability or insufficiency is somehow contrary to the principles of success. Self-confidence and high-powered, aggressive personalities seem to be what takes the day.

Summary: To establish that only Peter and the eleven received the Holy Ghost Baptism on the day of Pentecost. This gift of God (Holy Ghost Baptism) was not received by any of the assembled multitude, the 120 disciples or any other believers on that day.
Summary: Why should someone seek to be filled with the HS? What difference does it really make in a person’s life? Are we supposed to seek something more than forgiveness? Is there more that God wants to do in our lives and through us? Let's look at God's word.
Summary: Pentecost (B). Jewish Pentecost celebrated the giving of the law on Sinai, the God choosing Israel as His people. In the Pentecost of the Church we are assured that we too are chosen by God and live in His kingdom.
Summary: We live in a time where the proclamation of the Word of God is on a decline in our pulpits. As a Church we need to present and stand on the Word of God and proclaim it boldly to a lost and dark world.
