Summary: To establish that “pure religion” is not a feeling, but a faithful service to others by those who live daily to remain pure and unspotted from the world. Pure religion has it origin from the Word of God; not from the words of men!
Summary: In this passage James speaks to us about "human" anger and the moral filth of the world. He then compares the Word of God to a spiritual mirror that we need to look into intently if we desire to be spiritually presentable to God.
Summary: We don't need to fill another notebook, with more outlines, of powerful truths, and wonderful insights, we do not suffer from a lack of correct heads, but what we need is to have more of a consumed heart, and more of walking out what we already know.
Summary: When man looks into a mirror, the Word (ie, the Law) is the perfection of his image. Through Christ, in aligning his form to the righteous life of God's commands, a man participates in paradise.
Summary: So we can see that God didn't give His law as a means of salvation...but as a life style for those who had already been saved. It was the way He wanted His redeemed ones to live. True freedom is the opportunity and the ability to express what we truly are
