1 The Lord reigns, 1 let the nations tremble; 1 he sits enthroned between the cherubim, 1 let the earth shake.
2 Great is the Lord in Zion; 2 he is exalted over all the nations.
3 Let them praise your great and awesome name— 3 he is holy.
4 The King is mighty, he loves justice— 4 you have established equity; 4 in Jacob you have done 4 what is just and right.
5 Exalt the Lord our God 5 and worship at his footstool; 5 he is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, 6 Samuel was among those who called on his name; 6 they called on the Lord 6 and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; 7 they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.
8 O Lord our God, 8 you answered them; 8 you were to Israel[a] a forgiving God, 8 though you punished their misdeeds.[b]
9 Exalt the Lord our God 9 and worship at his holy mountain, 9 for the Lord our God is holy.
