Psalms 101

1 1 Of David. A psalm.

I will sing of your love and justice; 1 to you, Lord, I will sing praise.

I will be careful to lead a blameless life— 2 when will you come to me? 2 I will conduct the affairs of my house 2 with a blameless heart.

I will not look with approval 3 on anything that is vile. 3 I hate what faithless people do; 3 I will have no part in it.

The perverse of heart shall be far from me; 4 I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, 5 I will put to silence; 5 whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, 5 I will not endure.

My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, 6 that they may dwell with me; 6 those whose walk is blameless 6 will minister to me.

No one who practices deceit 7 will dwell in my house; 7 no one who speaks falsely 7 will stand in my presence.

Every morning I will put to silence 8 all the wicked in the land; 8 I will cut off every evildoer 8 from the city of the Lord.
