Psalms 110

1 1 Of David. A psalm.

The Lord says to my lord:[a] 1 "Sit at my right hand 1 until I make your enemies 1 a footstool for your feet."

The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, 2 "Rule in the midst of your enemies."

Your troops will be willing 3 on your day of battle. 3 Arrayed in holy splendor, 3 your young men will come to you 3 like dew from the morning's womb.[b]

The Lord has sworn 4 and will not change his mind: 4 "You are a priest forever, 4 in the order of Melchizedek."

The Lord is at your right hand[c]; 5 he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.

He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead 6 and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.

He will drink from a brook along the way,[d] 7 and so he will lift up his head.
