Translation:

Psalms 24

1 1 Of David. A psalm.

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, 1 the world, and all who live in it;

for he founded it on the seas 2 and established it on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? 3 Who may stand in his holy place?

Those who have clean hands and a pure heart, 4 who do not put their trust in an idol 4 or swear by a false god.[a]

They will receive blessing from the Lord 5 and vindication from God their Savior.

Such is the generation of those who seek him, 6 who seek your face, God of Jacob.[b][c]

Lift up your heads, you gates; 7 be lifted up, you ancient doors, 7 that the King of glory may come in.

Who is this King of glory? 8 The Lord strong and mighty, 8 the Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, you gates; 9 lift them up, you ancient doors, 9 that the King of glory may come in.

Who is he, this King of glory? 10 The Lord Almighty— 10 he is the King of glory.
