1 Fools say in their hearts, 1 "There is no God." 1 They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; 1 there is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven 2 on the human race 2 to see if there are any who understand, 2 any who seek God.
3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; 3 there is no one who does good, 3 not even one.
4 Do all these evildoers know nothing? 4 They devour my people as though eating bread; 4 they never call on God.
5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, 5 where there was nothing to dread. 5 God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; 5 you put them to shame, for God despised them.
6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! 6 When God restores his people, 6 let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
