1 Then the Lord said to me: "Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go! 2 And if they ask you, 'Where shall we go?' tell them, 'This is what the Lord says: 2 " 'Those destined for death, to death; 2 those for the sword, to the sword; 2 those for starvation, to starvation; 2 those for captivity, to captivity.'
3 "I will send four kinds of destroyers against them," declares the Lord, "the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy. 4 I will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
8 I will make their widows more numerous 8 than the sand of the sea. 8 At midday I will bring a destroyer 8 against the mothers of their young men; 8 suddenly I will bring down on them 8 anguish and terror.
9 The mother of seven will grow faint 9 and breathe her last. 9 Her sun will set while it is still day; 9 she will be disgraced and humiliated. 9 I will put the survivors to the sword 9 before their enemies," 9 declares the Lord.
19 Therefore this is what the Lord says: 19 "If you repent, I will restore you 19 that you may serve me; 19 if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, 19 you will be my spokesman. 19 Let this people turn to you, 19 but you must not turn to them.
20 I will make you a wall to this people, 20 a fortified wall of bronze; 20 they will fight against you 20 but will not overcome you, 20 for I am with you 20 to rescue and save you," 20 declares the Lord.
