Announcement:  The Amazing Grace sermon submitted between January 1, 2007 and February 28, 2007 will be chosen for special honor and the contributor of that sermon will be given an original 1799 copy of William Wilberforce’s book Real Christianity.  Criteria for evaluating the sermons will include:

1. Ratings by the general SermonCentral audience (using the current rating system on the site)

2. Review by the SermonCentral Amazing Grace Review Board.

3. The biblical content of the sermon as it pertains to the teaching of grace in Scripture.

Sermon contributors are also encouraged but not required to include relevant content pertaining to:

John Newton, his conversion and deliverance from being a slave trader, and his song “Amazing Grace”

William Wilberforce and the grace that inspired him to fight for justice and the cause of those held in the bondage of slavery in his day

God’s heart to offer grace and fight for justice throughout history and in our present world. (Micah 6:8; Proverbs 31:8; Luke 11:42; Hebrews 11:33)
