I really enjoyed your Christmas Eve meditation! I'd heard the story before, but the way you tied it in works really well. :-)

The example of the sister and the friend in the exposition reminded me of an experience with two cancer patients diagnosed with the same terminal prognosis. One had an accepting, yet positive attitude; the other was miserable. She complained all the time and nothing relieved her misery. She died on schedule. The other lived for three years and always radiated joy..even at the very end. This opened the door to the message I was seeking to share..God is with us. God is love.
