,I love this message. I had already prepared my talk for this Sunday, 2/14/16, titled: The Greatest Gift of All. Billions of dollars are spent each year at this time to show how much we care for those we love by giving cards, jewelry, flowers, candy. But, in truth, there is no greater expression than love itself. And, Valentine's Day should be every day as we share God's love with everyone by giving simple things--a smile, a hug, a kind word...

I t may or may not be a myth, but the article in Newsweek doesn't change the fact that Valentine's Day is observed each year by millions and the name of the day is obviously attributed to someone named Valentine. Telling the story, or myth as you claim, does NOT detract from the scriptures.
