Church/Ministry Description

Lord of the Lake Lutheran Church is a small rural Church in the Beautiful Ozarks, of Arkansas. It consists of about fifty members who consider the Church their extended family in the Lord.

Education

Pastor Jerry graduated from Western State University College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor Degree and practiced law in Hemet, California for many years before going into the ministry. After seminary Pastor Jerry worked for Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He accepted the call to be Pastor at Lord of the Lake Lutheran Church in September of 1998. He earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree, three years later, in July of 2001.I turned 65 years of age in December of 2001 and retired form Lord of the Lake and moved to New Port Richey, Florida in January of 2002.

Family

Pastor Jerry and his wife Lynda lived in the Parsonage next to the Church. Lynda has three sons and Pastor Jerry has five sons and one daughter. Both of Pastor Jerry’s parents have gone Home to the Lord, while both Lynda’s parents live in neighboring states. I turned 65 years of age in December of 2001 and retired form Lord of the Lake and moved to New Port Richey, Florida in January of 2002. Pastor Jerry passed away in his sleep on July 22, 2002.

Hobbies

My major hobby is weight lifting, not body building, but just working out with weights, to keep in shape, for more than fifty-years now, I have been lifting weights. I also enjoy Roller Skating very much; in fact I met my wife, Lynda Roller Skating.

What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons

The sermons my husband gives always are a delightful surprise for me. I never read them or listen to them in advance because I want to experience them just like other parishioners. It never ceases to amaze me how the Holy Spirit reveals the Scriptures and they come alive in each and every sermon. Needles to say, I feel very fortunate to be married to my Pastor husband.
