  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I hope you are blessed, lifted up, educated, and renewed! Remember, IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM! To GOD be The GLory! And, that you may learn from my experiences and hardships...

  • One of my favorite illustrations: Christians are like tea bags...you do not know what is in them until they are in hot water! Hiding your gifts in a box...using visuals in a big box
  • Family: Daughter:Kristen Mears, 8 years old.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They are proud of me and what I am becoming in The Lord. My Mom is my best and worst critic...in ALL I do (I guess that is normal..ha ha ha)
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: I am a widowed, single mother. Todd Mears - Deceased 11/6/2007
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "That’s it! Get in there (behind the pulpit) and stand in that same authority...always! Know your place! There is nothing worse than a wishy washy sermon. Stick to your subject and you will stay in the anointing as long as you focus on The Holy Spirits leading...you will succeed if you always continue to trust and study to show yourself approved" -Pastor Jamie Wright, Maranatha Fellowship Church in Saint Albans, WV www.mfctoday.org
  • Books that have had an impact: The Holy Bible (NKJV, AMP, MESSG) God’s Armor Bearer by Terry Nance Battlefield Of The Mind by Joyce Meyer How To Hear From God by Joyce Meyer In Search Of Timothy by Tony Cooke Calm In The Midst Of Crisis by Pastor Jamie Wright Power Of A Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian What’s Next by Charles Capps Your Spiritual Authority by Charles Capps Beauty From Ashes by Joyce Meyer Me and My Big Mouth by Joyce Meyer The Word, The Name and The Blood by Joyce Meyer Praying The Names of God by Ann Spangler Who Will You Trust by Beth Moore
  • Hobbies: Bible Study (hobby, but also necessary), collecting and studying different Versions of The Bible, Christian Music, Computers, Collecting lighthouses, dolphins, bells, and snowmen, West Virginia University Football and Basketball, Primitive Living Decor, and grape decor. I also enjoy walking and talking with Jesus, doing what God gifted me with in song and word, playing golf, and spending time with my family and my Church friends and prayer team friends.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: The Devil is a liar. Stop listening to him and PLEASE learn to put him under your feet...it is only then that you will walk in victory! We become who we are in Jesus by how we make our choices and how we react to actions of others and situations...
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: -The sound engineer played a Christian Hip-Hop song on CD for the invitation. -I said, "Let Satan Have Control" instead of "Let God Have Control"...and it took me a few minutes and seeing the reaction of the congregation to catch what I had said in order to retract the statement. This happened while preaching the sermon "Be Still" ha ha ha
  • What I want on my tombstone: Fisher of SOULS for Jesus...a few got away...but I fought a good fight and kept the faith!
