If a man "DESIRES" an office doesn''t mean that he was "called" to the office. Criteria had to be put in place for all the MEN that want to be a leader of God''s church but who were not called, anointed, chosen, or sent. This criteria ia asbsolutely biblical for those who "desire" an office. Therefore, it we were to follow these principles we would have no more CHILD molesters, pedophiles, murderers, rapists, wife abusers, drunkards, drug addicts, pimps, con artists, and the like as "overseers" in our CHURCHES today. Yet we use these principles to select a "male" just because he is male. Jesus appointed and made disciples of men and women. Jesus LIFTED women from the status of second class citizen in John 4 (scripture). Jesus commissioned the Woman at the WELL in this text and she was "SENT". Anna, Deborah, Miriam, Phoebe, Priscilla, Mary, a Certain Woman, Syrophoenician Woman... ALL of these are Scripturally appointed and anointed in a LEADERSHIP role by God. God never used any flesly, carnality criteria to "Choose" his leaders. He took iniquity and turned it inside out and sent us (male and female) into ALL the world to "Make disciples." Men who make it to heaven are going to be quite surprised. lol

It is refreshing to see the way you handled this subject. Few have the courage.
