About Randy
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries from North Central University in Minneapolis. I’ve also done extensive training on communication skills, theatrical performance and circus at places like the Goldston-Johnson School of Mime, Celebration Barn Theatre, and Advanced Studies on the Performance Art of Clown.
  • Experience: I’ve written numerous training booklets for clown ministry, children’s ministry and worship. I’ve been priviledged to minister around the U.S. for many different denominations and in a few foreign countries doing training workshops.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I’ve found that most of my sermons can be preached to any age group...children or adults...because it’s in the simplicity and the clear sharing of truth that people’s hearts are touched.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Hebrews 6 "The essential foundations" that Paul saw as the early church "new believers class."
  • Family: I have a wonderful wife and three great kids who are all involved in ministry with me. We, at times, travel and are camp speakers, etc.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "Cursed be every preacher who aims at lofty topics in the church... When I preach I adapt myself to the circumstances of the common people. I don’t look at the doctors and master...but at the young people and children. It is to them that I devote myself. Take pains to be simple and direct." - Martin Luther
  • Books that have had an impact: Good to Great NextGen Leader Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe SoulTalk
  • Hobbies: Clown, circus, sports, art, music
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: dream great dreams for children...believe that God has a plan for their lives right now...not just once they become adults.
  • What I want on my tombstone: he gave his best
