,Excellent explanation of how the Good News doesn't seem good to everyone.
I just read your sermon on an attitude of Gratitude. It was excellent! You talked about Paul being the worst of all sinners and God's grace that not only forgave him, but the church whom he persecuted forgave him. At my church we had a panhandler who was rude and threatening to our office volunteers. He came to church one Sunday two years ago and the police were called and he was escorted out of the sanctuary while I was preaching on the Good Samaritan. (awkward) The police told him not come back. A few months ago one of our church members meets this guy and starts working to better his life. He invites him to church. Long story short is that the guy has now been coming to church for 6 weeks straight, been at Bible Study and is volunteering every week. It was hard for some of the people to accept him just as it was hard for the early church to believe that Saul was actually different and not just faking it. But God changed the heart of this young man and also the heart of our church. Your message was a great reminder that we don't compare our righteousness or our sin to others, but we compare it to Jesus Christ. Just want to let you know God is using your message. By the way I would love to share with you one of my messages. I am a preacher, but I enjoy preaching through music. I just finished a song called "Solid Ground". I did it with some of the youth from my church. I would be honored if you would listen to it. http://soundclick.com/hardheaded
