About Roy
  • Education: Candler Theological Seminary - 5 year Course of Study Completed
  • Experience: 1995 until present
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My sermons are a relationship between me and God. We work on them together. Most of my messages are written, not to be read per se, but as a guide to let the Holy Spirit be uses as you move through the text. I take no credit for my messages because the Holy Spirit and many others that I have read and researched come into play as I complete my sermons. May our God and Savior be with you.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Each sermon enlightens me about who God is. God amazes me with every Sermon, Teaching opportunity and Speaking engagement with the message he gives me.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: The dishwasher.
  • Family: Wonderful Daughter with Husband and two Beautiful Grand Children.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Do Good, Do no harm, Let God be free.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible, and every book I have read I have learned from it. (some of the other books besides the Bible are good and some bad information but they will tweak my mind)
  • Hobbies: Motorcycle riding, reading, gym and working with Seniors in Nursing homes.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Know God for who He really is.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: The Christmas tree fell over during my sermon.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He's not here.

The listener may be thinking the sermon is about David but its not. It's about someone else.

Spurgeon (1) wrote, " I think I may say to every person whom I am addressing, -If you are yourself saved, the work is but half done until you are employed to bring others to Christ. You are as yet but half formed in the image of your Lord. You have not attained to the full development of what ...read more

A short sermon on what God planed what Jesus did and what is required of us

The Incarnation of Jesus Christ is utterly Essential to our Reconciliation that we are looking at this morning.
