There was a little town called Flagstaff. The town was to be flooded because of a dam that would make a large lake. As the battle over the dam and flooding proceeded the citizens were sure that they had lost their battle. All improvements and repairs in the whole town were stopped. What was the use of painting a house if it was to be covered with water? Why repair anything when the whole village was to be wiped out?
