The millennium generation following right behind Gen-X is displaying a much greater interest in spirituality than their predecessors. The Navigators have polled college students both in the 80s and now and find striking differences. When asked “Would you like to be in a bible study?” and “Would you like to talk to someone about your spiritual life?” 45%-50% of today’s students answer yes vs. only 10%-15% in previous surveys. A growing number of churches are seeing dramatic increased attendance to services and programs targeted to building community among this age group. Christianity is becoming ‘cool” to many of them.
