TBN Troubles Ministry watchdog Wall Watchers has recommended Trinity Broadcasting Network leaders Paul and Jan Crouch step down from TBN leadership, citing their lavish lifestyle, a lack of TBN financial transparency, and other problems. The announcement also notes the couple takes home an annual salary in excess of $800,000 between them and purportedly owns more than 30 homes and a $7.2 million turbojet. Matthew Crouch, son of the Crouches, controls a for-profit company that has received $32 million from the ministry in the past 5 years. The TBN board is comprised of the 3 family members, precluding any outside objectivity and accountability. (Ministry Watch Donor Alert 9/04)
