CAN A MAN GO TO FAR
Proverbs 1: 24Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
32For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
The question is can we go to far with God? God has a line that we can step over when we go over that line there is no hope for us. The answer we can go too far.
Here are some people in the bible who went to far.
(1)Eve did -----when she eat the forbidding fruit.
Genesis 3: 6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Sometime it looks good but it is not what appeared
God said no she said yes
It was forbidding she knew it
(2) Cain did ----- he killed his brother Able
Genesis 4: 8And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
He was mad at God
The bible said he was wroth
God showed more for Able offering
(3) Esau did ------selling his birth right
Genesis 25: 31And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
33And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
Weak in spirit
Down and out with his life
Giving up your birthright is totally wrong
(4) Belshazzar did drinking out of the wrong vessels
Daniel 5: 2Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
3Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
4They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
Drunkenness’ cause him to make a fool of himself in Gods presents
Stupid friends cross the line
(5) Harod did ----Cutting Johns head off
Matthew 14: 6But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias
