Summary: For revival, the church needs a S.P.A.R.K. This spark will start the flames of revival we need.

A Little Spark Will Start a Blazing Fire

2 Chronicles 7:11-22

For the last two weeks we have discussed how Jesus introduced His father and Himself. We have looked at these two introductions in an attempt to prepare us for revival as we have taken a closer look at God. Then through Ezekiel we understood that U.F.O.’s are real. Then, just this past Wednesday in the Revelation, we have seen that through reading, hearing, and heeding the words of the Revelation, we should have exceeding joy in our lives. I believe that the Spirit is using all of these studies to revive each of us. So, this morning, let’s look again at 2 Chronicles and see the S.P.A.R.K. that God gave to Solomon for His people.

The first ingredient is SUBDUING (OURSELVES) .

A. Humility is a personal course of action.

B. True humility produces gratitude.

The second ingredient is PRAYER .

A. Prayer is more than us talking to God.

B. Without prayer, our lives become like the Dead Sea.

The third ingredient is APPROACHING .

A. Moses’ greatest desire was to see God.

B. In fact, this is probably the greatest desire of us all.

The fourth ingredient is REPENTANCE .

A. What does the word “wicked” truly mean?

B. According to the Hebrew definition we are evil!

The final ingredient is KNEELING .

A. The posture of our hearts is essential for revival.

B. God will hear, forgive, and heal which certainly should cause us to bow before Him.

Friends, we need a S.P.A.R.K. in our lives for revival to begin. I don’t know about each of you, but I’m ready for the fire of revival to consume my heart and to consume NMBC. Are you ready and do you desire to experience God’s revival?
