GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION

OUR SIN

-- Everyone sins. No one is good. Romans 3:10,23

-- Our sin separates us from God. Isaiah 59:2

-- The penalty for our sin is death…physical and spiritual death in a place of punishment (HELL). Romans 6:23a, Revelation 20:15, 2 Thessalonians 1:9

GOD’S LOVE

-- Even though we sin, God loves us. He wants to save us from punishment, so He made a way for us to live. Romans 5:8, John 3:16

-- Jesus took ALL our sins on himself and took our penalty. He died on the cross in our place for our sins. Isaiah 53:4-6

-- With our penalty paid, we are righteous before God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

-- We are no longer separated from God. Romans 5:10

GOD’S GIFT

-- The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b

-- Because Jesus died and rose again, we can have life… eternal life in the presence of God in HEAVEN. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, John 20:31, 1 John 5:13, Revelation 21:1,3

-- It’s a gift. You can’t earn it. Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5

HOW DO I ACCEPT GOD’S GIFT?

-- If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved… Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Saved from judgment, condemnation, punishment, HELL.) Romans 10:9,13; John 5:24

-- Jesus is the only way. No one can come to the Father except through him. John 14:6, Acts 4:12

-- Repent (turn away from your sin) and follow Jesus. Mark 1:15, Romans 8:1-2

WHAT NOW?

-- Be baptized. Romans 6:4

-- You’re a new creature; your old ways are gone. 2 Corinthians 5:17

-- Find a Bible-believing church. Hebrews 10:25

-- The Bible is your guide. Psalm 119:105

-- You are a child of God. Galatians 3:26

-- We are one in Christ. Galatians 3:28

Part 2:

GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION (verses for the student of evangelism)

OUR SIN

-- There is none who does good, no not one. Romans 3:10

-- All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

-- Your sins have separated you from God. Isaiah 59:2

-- The wages of sin is DEATH… Romans 6:23a

-- Whoever was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

-- Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord… 2 Thessalonians 1:9

GOD’S LOVE

-- God demonstrated his love for us in this way: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

-- God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

-- He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows… He was wounded… and bruised for our sins... and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5

-- The Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

-- He made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

-- When we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son. Being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:10

GOD’S GIFT

-- The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b

-- Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and he was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

-- These are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name. John 20:31

-- I have written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13

-- I saw a new heaven and a new earth…and God himself will be with them and be their God. Revelation 21:1,3

-- Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:24

-- By grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: not of works, so that no man can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

-- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. Titus 3:5
