Summary: This message looks at some "All(s)" in the Bible.

"ALL"

Text: 1 John 1:17

Introduction:

-I want us to look at some of the "All"s in the Bible.

-The word "All" only consists of three letters.

-"All" means everyone, no exceptions.

-"All" is a little word in comparison to some words in the English language.

-At first glance, we might consider the word "All" very insignificant.

-However, as we read the scriptures, we find out that God uses little things, insignificant things to do His work, to get the job done.

-So, it is with the word "All".

I. CONCERNING THE CONDITION OF MANKIND

-The Bible tells us that all men without exception are sinners.

-Romans 3:23 - "all have sinned"

-Psalm 14:3 - "They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

-Isaiah 53:6 - "All we like sheep have gone astray;..."

-Isaiah 64:6 - "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

II. THE RESULT OF THE CONDITION OF MANKIND

-The Bible tells that all men will die (both physically and spiritual) as result of being a sinner.

-Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

-Luke 13:3,5 - "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. "

-1 Peter 1:24 - "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:"

III. GOD’S WILL FOR CONDEMNED MANKIND

-The Bible tells us that is God’s will that all of mankind would repent and be saved.

-However, God gave man free will to choose between sin and salvation.

-1 Timothy 2:4 - "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

-2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

IV. GOD’S SOLUTION FOR MANKIND

-The Bible tells God’s solution for mankind was the sacrifice of His only begotten son for payment of the sins of the world.

-John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

-1 Timothy 2:5-6 - "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

-1 John 1:7 - "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

-1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

-The reason the shed of Jesus saves us is because it is sinless!

-Hebrews 4:15 - "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. "

Conclusion:

-The Bible tells us there is only one way to become a child.

-There are no exceptions!

-Galatians 3:26 - "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
