1Cor.1:21...Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God.


Introduction

- lot of talk about the anointing....some good, bad, confusing..Yet I trust you all covet the idea of being anointed of God...

Let me declare: 1John 2:20...
"you have an anointing from the Holy One"..(an extension of Gods favor)

Anoint means: To rub on or to smear oil on..
To set apart.

rub it in: smear/make it a part of you

Few things: Anointed to an office
Anointed for service
Anointed for battle
Anointed for worship (temple items)

Exodus 30:22-33....Anointing oil recipe

Myrrh: Speaks of Calvarys love
Cinnamon: Burning Zeal
Fragrant Cane: grow erect, holy righteous living
Cassia: to stoop, bow down,submission, humility
Oil: olive

It was holy.....perfume mixture

Three things:
1. There was alot,
2. it was expensive
3. It carried a beautiful yet powerful aroma .....

NO MISTAKING WHETHER YOU WERE ANOINTED OR NOT.

WHAT DOES THE ANOINTING DO?

Ex.30:32.......makes holy
Ex.40:15.......makes a covenant with you
Le.7:35........releases to minister
Le.8:10........it sanctifies
Le.10:7........not to be taken lightly
Isa.10:27......breaks bondages..frees the sinner

sin not stain but a chain)

Jas.5:14.......heals the sick
1Jn.2:23.......abides,teaches truth


The anointing oil in the OT is representative of the Holy Spirit today/ and then to an extent.

David cried: cast me not away ... take not thy Holy Spirit ...

*He recognized in Saul a man who although retaining all the outside symbols of kingship and position in God...He has lost the anointing of God.*

- To be a believer and not retain the Anointing of the Holy Spirit is to be rendered ineffective in the purposes of God.

The Anointing..brought to you by the letter "R"

It has to be......

1.REAL

- I covet the real anointing.
- Ex.30:31,32 ..... NO SUBSTITUTES!!!

* You cannot substitute the Anointing of God with works, talents, programs. The anointing must
be real!...ACTUALLY THE PROBLEM IS, YOU CAN!

John 6:63..It is the Spirit who gives life and the flesh profits NOTHING!!!

* To much time spent trying to solve supernatural problems in the natural!

- Not all sickness is natural...you will not see that person made well by medicine BUT BY THE ANOINTED BELIEVER BREAKING THE BONDAGE.

I believe in the real anointing & that is what I want.

People concerned about "renewal"....IF IT MAKES YOU JUMP, LAUGH, CRY, DANCE, SHOUT, SHAKE, RATTLE OR ROLL...If it is The REAL Anointing bring it on!!!!

This world is tired of the shams...You get a real anointing they will know!!!!!!!!

*I’M ALWAYS INTERESTED TO HEAR THAT THE LORD MOVED OR THE LORD IS MOVING ...BUT I’M MORE INTERESTED IN WHAT HE LEFT BEHIND!!

the true anointing has to be ....

2.RICH

- Like Elisha, when asked by Elijah what he could do for him
- (2Kings 2:9)..A double portion....

Sing that song..fill my cup...fill my pool Lord...

* In the great abundance of anointing causes less effort of the flesh...don’t have to push anyone over...
