Summary: Praises for the attributes of God as one who is the ultimate glory to one who knows everything

204. Glory – I praise you for being my glorious one in whom is my renown. “For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn. (Psa. 89:17)

205. Glory Of the Lord – Lord, I praise you for the fact that you deserve all the glory instead of any person or organization. Thank you for the directive, “Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.” (I Chron. 16:10) Thank you that we can “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness.” (Psa. 29:2)

206. God Feels Emotion – I praise you God that you feel our pain and so can sympathize with all our problems. “The Lord was grieved that He had made man on the earth and his heart was filled with pain.” (Gen. 6:6) “The Lord appeared to us in the past saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” (Jer. 31:3) “Then my anger will cease and my wrath against them will subside, and I will be avenged. And when I have spent my wrath upon them, they will know that I the Lord have spoken in my zeal.” (Ezek. 5:13)

207. God Gives Rich, Eternal Rewards – I praise you Lord for giving me assurance of rich everlasting rewards. Jesus said, “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.” (Rev. 22:12)

208. God is a Unity (One) – I praise you Lord for being God in three persons, blessed trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. “Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you – majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Ex. 15:11) Paul wrote, “One Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Eph. 4:5) “Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” (I Cor. 8:4)

209. God is Active in Israel’s History – I praise you Lord for being the one who is continuously active in the making of Israel’s history. “I will make you Abraham, a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great; and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen. 12:1,2) “Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written, ‘The deliverer will come from Zion, He will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” (Rom. 11:25-27)

210. God is Active in Nature – I praise you Lord for being actively involved with all aspects of nature. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen 1:1) “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it. For He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” (Psa. 24:1,2)

211. God is Alive – I praise you for being a living God that is active in all the affairs of men. Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matt. 16:16) Paul wrote, “For they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.” (I Thes. 1:9)

212. God is An Approachable Lord – I praise you for being so willing to allow us to come near you. “What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us wherever we pray to Him? (Deut. 4:7) “Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up His soul to an idol or swear by what is false.” (Psa. 24:3) “One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” (Psa. 27:4) “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.” (Psa. 34:8) “Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God.” (Matt. 5:8) “Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8)
