Text: 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (King James Version)

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (v. 2) For man shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (v. 3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. (v. 4) Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (v. 5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the Power thereof from such turn away."

There has been a great falling away from the church - modern-day society has rejected church attendance as either a social or a spiritual necessity - and, secular humanism has replaced the religion of the day for many! Many in today's society, view the church as a "Sunday Social Club!" They view the pulpit as an ecclesiastical lecture platform! Therefore, they quite naturally reason that they can stay at home - tune in to their favorite television evangelist or preacher - and, receive sermons from the most popular - the most educated - and, the most professional members of the clergy! They view the church as being irrelevant - as failing to meet the needs of the people!

It is imperative that we have a supernatural visitation of the Holy Ghost (or, Holy Spirit) in theological circles today - such that it will have a profound effect upon the sociological, political, and pyschological areas of life! If not, the "Global Religion" will be assimilated and the death knell of the "preaching of the Gospel" will be heard around the world! The hour is late and Almighty God is about to wrap everything up - and, my brothers and sisters, we had better be prepared!

In the days of John the Baptist, if a preacher preached the unadulterated Truth of the Gospel - the entire counsel of Almighty God - and, related it to everyday life, they would cut off his or her head! When the Apostle Paul preached to Felix - the governor of Judaea - Felix trembled! In today's modern-day society, Felix sits in the front pew and the preacher trembles - for if he or she steps on the wrong toes, they will cut off his or her salary!

Before Almighty God pours out His wrath, He always warns His people - and, the warning is being sounded as the world turns away from Almighty God and looks to itself for the answers! Unless we repent and turn back to Almighty God, we will see things that the world has never seen before, for sin is rampant in the world today and Almighty God will not tolerate it! Hard times are rapidly coming upon us - and, it is my firm belief that the final outpouring of the Holy Spirit - such as mankind has never seen before - is in the process of taking place - but, first a purging in the house of God must take place!

We say that we trust the Lord; but, all the time we are leaning to our own understanding - we want to "enjoy" all of the things of the world - and, we justify it because we say that Almighty God wants His children to have all the "good things" in life! As a result, the church has become worldly and "sophisticated" - and, religion has become big business! Almighty God will not allow us to have other gods before Him - and, He will break our homage to them - the
