Summary: BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN THE LORD'S SALVATION

BE GLAD IN YOUR SALVATION

INTRODUCTION: ISAIAH WROTE DURING THE ASSYRIAN EMPIRE EXPANSION AND DECLINE OF ISRAEL. CHAPTER 25 IS A PSALM OF PRAISE FOR GOD’S FAVOR. IT HAS APPLICATION FOR ISRAEL AND ALL BELIEVERS.

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT: (NKJV) ISAIAH 25:9 AND IT WILL BE SAID IN THAT DAY: BEHOLD, THIS IS OUR GOD; WE HAVE WAITED FOR HIM, AND HE WILL SAVE US. THIS IS THE LORD; WE WAITED FOR HIM; WE WILL BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN HIS SALVATION.

THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL HAD REASON TO REJOICE. THEY WERE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD WHOSE OVERSIGHT THEY LONGED FOR. HOPE FINALLY GAVE WAY TO SIGHT, KNOWING RESCUE FROM THEIR ENEMY WAS IN SIGHT.

PSALMS 4: 6-8 DAVID’S HAPPINESS HAD ITS SEAT IN HIS HEART AS OPPOSED TO EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES. A HEART FILLED WITH GLADNESS IS YOUR SAFETY NET: A CONTINUED SAD HEART DOES NOTHING FOR YOUR CHRISTIAN WALK.

APPLICATION: PSALMS 30:5 (NKJV) FOR HIS ANGER (IS BUT FOR) A MOMENT. HIS FAVOR (IS FOR) LIFE; WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT, BUT JOY (COMES) IN THE MORNING.
