Summary: Remember, Meditate, Muse His deeds and mighty wonders because He is the outstanding one who works wonders. He saves us and He shows His strength among us.

You (Jesus) are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples. Psalms: 77:14

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, greetings to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Psalm 77 is a prayer in times of hardships, discouragements, helplessness and darkness. If we understand the verses 1-10, Asaph shouts to the Lord, raising his voice, with his hand extended towards the Lord without weariness. He is so upset that he could not express with his words. Verses 7-10 explains the essence of misery

“Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? 8 Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?

9 Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”

It is the worst feeling in any Christian life, where you feel that the Lord won’t be favorable again, His loving kindness ceased forever, all His promises are appearing to be fake. The scenario totally changed from v13

Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? 14 You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.

15 With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.

And he starts praising God for the miracles the Lord has done to the Israelites (v15-20).He began explaining His mightiness and holiness, he was sure that no other God is greater and He is the one who can do miracles and wonders. He can change the impossibility to possibility because He is such a great God. He is the Master of Impossibilities. The transition from v7-9 and v13-14 is incredible. What led to this transition? Obviously verses 11, 12.

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.12 I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”

Simple rules or strategies which can change any situation of yours

• Remember the deeds of the LORD.

• Remember the wonders of old.

• Meditate on His works

• Muse on His deeds

This is the direction of leading a successful Christian life amidst tribulations. When trouble comes remember that your help comes from the Maker of heaven and Earth. Beyond your struggles there are amazing blessings in store for you! It's not yet over! Remember Thessalonians 5:24 (“The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”).You have God’s undivided attention. He really loves you. When life counts you out, God counts you in. The God who has assured us is the same yesterday, today and always.

Don’t conform yourselves to the standards and thinking of the world. In all your ways remember the one who chose you, whatever may be the situation, remember, meditate and muse the mighty deeds of the Lord. Nothing is impossible for our great God. Everything is under His sovereign oversight and control. When you are down to do nothing, God is up to do something. God cannot fail, it's not in His nature.

In this New Year 2017 try this strategy to Remember, Meditate, Muse His deeds and mighty wonders because He is the outstanding one who works wonders. He saves us and He shows His strength among us. Show God your faith, He will show you His faithfulness. Keep remembering meditating and musing on His wonderful deeds. Expect His wonders, His strength and His power in your life. Happy New Year. Amen!!
